Thanks to all who made it out to our Open House on Thursday, Sept. 22! It was lovely to see everyone as folks stopped in for some coffee, pumpkin spice cake, and to share and listen all morning.
It was a treat to have a full house for a demonstration of the c̓əsnaʔəm educator’s toolkit by members of the Musqueam Language and Culture Department: elder Larry Grant, Jill Campbell, and Vanessa Campbell.

One highlight was the demonstration of the Musqueam string timeline, which physically represents Musqueam’s history before and through colonization.

Participants had the opportunity to work hands-on with some of the toolkit resources.

We were also fortunate to have Kim Lawson, Tamis Cochrane, and Emily Guerrero from Xwi7xwa Library set up a table, make a presentation, and answer questions.
