A-RTL (Anti-Racist Teaching and Learning) provides opportunities for educators to deepen their understanding of anti-racism and anti-racist practices at an individual, community, and institutional levels.
A-RTL’s offerings aim to build awareness of how to cultivate teaching and facilitation practices that support anti-racist solidarity; facilitate deeper reflections on how to create equitable learning environments where students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour can thrive; and identify anti-racist practices educators can implement in their roles at UBC. A-RTL welcomes participants from a broad spectrum of existing knowledge and experiences; whether you are starting your anti-racist learning journey or are continuing to deepen your knowledge, understandings, and practices of anti-racism; all are welcome. Check out the A-RTL webpage for more info.
